Job Description

Lead Carpenter Responsibilities:

• Performing all carpentry duties required, including both rough and finish residential carpentry.
• Creating and adjusting project schedules accordingly
• Maintaining accurate records of all work done by the project team
• Assigning and explaining tasks to the project team
• Supervising the company’s field carpenters, unskilled and semi-skilled workers, and subcontractors
• Communicating with clients in order to determine the time frames within which projects should be completed
• Identify and order all materials needed according to project plans and specifications
• Perform other duties as assigned

Lead Carpenter Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license Reliable transportation
• Proven experience in residential remodeling or construction
• Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures
• The ability to safely operate power tools
• The ability to read blueprints
• Strong work ethic and an ability to problem solve
• Excellent time management skills
• Effective communication skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Additional screening requirements, such as background checks and/or drug tests may be required

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Mechanicsville, MD 20659: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Remodeling: 2 years (Required)
• Construction: 2 years (Required)
• Leadership: 1 year (Required)
• Power tools: 1 year (Required)
